One racecourse, different reasons to visit
Flemington hosts racing and other occasions with event-specific access arrangements. Tell DEVZ whether you have a race-day ticket, a restaurant reservation or a private function invitation. The arrival window and meeting point may differ between those visits. A transport plan for a quieter meeting should not be assumed suitable for a major carnival day.
Separate passenger access from parking access
The VRC publishes guidance for reaching Flemington, including parking and public transport. A parking entrance is not automatically the correct place to drop off your party. Use the current event map and discuss a lawful stopping location with DEVZ. If a host supplies specific access instructions, include them when booking so they can be considered before the journey.
Link the racecourse visit to the rest of the day
Guests arriving from Melbourne Airport may prefer to leave luggage at a hotel before attending. Allow enough time for that stop and hotel arrangements; a racecourse outing should not depend on carrying all travel bags into the venue. If you need a meeting or meal afterwards, give its address and start time so the complete itinerary can be reviewed.
