Make the calendar date unambiguous
An outward booking on 31 December and a return after midnight fall on different calendar dates. Enter each leg carefully and specify the local time you mean. If your party is attending a restaurant, private function or public celebration, use its actual location. “Midnight in the city” is not a sufficiently precise pickup instruction.
Wait for the current access plan
The city’s official celebration information should be checked close to the event for the current programme and restrictions. Do not reuse last year’s closure map as a confirmed plan for 2026. A central venue may require a walk to a permitted vehicle location. Tell DEVZ about mobility needs early so those requirements can be considered when the access information is available.
Confirm the complete late-night journey
List every destination on the way home and count all passengers, including anyone joining only for the return. Discuss the fare, vehicle availability and any waiting before confirming. An instant estimate does not hold a car for an open-ended night. If the group wants flexibility between several celebrations, request a suitable hire arrangement instead of assuming a simple transfer covers it.
