Oaks Day forms part of the Melbourne Cup Carnival at Flemington. Hair, makeup, hotel checkout or meeting friends can make the morning timetable more involved than the drive itself. Choose a collection time after the group can realistically be ready. If there is an appointment before racing, include it as a separate stop rather than adding it while the journey is underway.
Check the invitation before choosing the destination
Supply the name of your dining room, enclosure or function and its arrival instructions. Formal accessories and delicate hats should be included when discussing vehicle space. A Premium Van can be requested for suitable groups, but passenger and belongings requirements still need review. Chauffeur travel does not change the ticket conditions or grant access to a private enclosure.
Coordinate the return while everyone is together
Agree on a travelling contact and a meeting arrangement before entering the venue. Phones can be harder to hear in a busy social setting, so check messages as the collection approaches. Where friends are leaving at different times or returning to different suburbs, discuss separate journeys. A single outbound transfer does not automatically include flexible collections throughout the evening.
